Delete my data
One email removes everything we hold about you. No form to fight, no retention offer, no account to log into first.

Send the request
Write to us from the address you signed up with. That is how we match the request to a record — we have no other way to confirm it is you, and we are not going to ask you for an ID document to delete an email address.
Email support@voicesnap.proThe button opens your mail client with the subject already filled in. If it does not, send a plain email to support@voicesnap.pro with the subject below.
Subject Data deletion request
How it works
Three steps, and only one of them is yours.
- 1
You email us
From the address on the record, with "Data deletion request" in the subject line. Tell us if you only want part of it gone — for example the waitlist entry but not a licence.
- 2
We confirm what we hold
We look up the record, reply telling you exactly what was found, and delete it. If nothing is found, we say that too rather than sending a vague acknowledgement.
- 3
We confirm it is gone
You get a second email confirming the deletion is complete, listing what was removed and anything we were legally required to keep.
What we actually hold
VoiceSnap Pro is pre-launch, so this list is short and we would rather show it than describe it.
| What | Detail | Held today |
|---|---|---|
| Your email address | Stored in lower case in a private store, so we can send you one message on launch day. | Yes, if you joined the waitlist |
| Signup source | A short label for the page you signed up from, such as homepage or changelog. Used to tell which pages actually work. | Yes, if you joined the waitlist |
| Signup timestamp | The date and time your address was added to the list. | Yes, if you joined the waitlist |
| Licence record | After launch: the email address a licence was issued to, the licence key, and the payment provider's transaction reference. | Not yet — VoiceSnap Pro is not on sale |
| Support correspondence | Any email you have sent us and our replies, in our mailbox. | Only if you have written to us |
| Your dictations | Never sent to us. Transcripts live in the notes library on your own machine, and recordings are discarded once the transcript comes back. | No — we never receive these |
What gets deleted
A deletion request removes the records, not just the mailing flag on them.
- Your waitlist record — email address, signup source and timestamp — is erased from the store entirely. It is not marked inactive and kept around.
- Any licence record issued to you is erased, along with the link between your address and the licence key.
- Your support correspondence is deleted from our mailbox, unless it is part of an unresolved dispute.
- You come off the launch mailing list immediately, whether or not the rest has finished processing.
What we cannot delete for you
Two honest exceptions, both outside our reach rather than our choice.
- The payment provider's own records
- Once VoiceSnap Pro is on sale, the company that processes the payment keeps its own record of the transaction because tax and accounting law requires it. We can delete our copy; theirs is not ours to remove. Your provider's privacy policy covers how long they hold it.
- Anything on your own computer
- Your notes library, your custom vocabulary and your settings live on your machine, not on ours. We have no access to them and no way to delete them remotely. Removing the app and its data folder clears them, and that is entirely under your control.
How long it takes
- Acknowledged
- Within 2 business days
- A human replies confirming we received the request and what we found.
- Completed
- Within 30 days
- In practice a waitlist deletion is done the same week. Thirty days is the outer limit, in line with the GDPR.
- Cost
- Free
- There is no charge for a deletion request, and no limit on how many you make.
Your other rights
Deletion is one of several things you can ask for. All of them go to the same address, and all of them are free.
Access
Ask for a copy of everything we hold about you. You get the actual record, not a summary of it.
Correction
Tell us a stored address is wrong and we will fix it, or replace it with the one you want to be contacted at.
Portability
Ask for your record as a machine-readable file. It is small — an email address, a source label and a timestamp.
Objection and complaint
Tell us to stop using your data and we will. If you are in the EU or UK and are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to your national data protection authority.
