Cookie Policy
Short version: this site sets no cookies. Here is exactly what is stored in your browser instead, and why we do not show you a consent banner.
Last updated 19 August 2026
The short version
- voicesnap.pro sets no cookies — not first-party, not third-party, not advertising, not analytics.
- Analytics run through Fathom, which is cookieless and collects no personal data.
- Three values may be written to your browser's localStorage: two that remember you dismissed a promotional message, and one that stops the launch offer appearing after you join the waitlist.
What is stored in your browser
localStorage is not a cookie. It is never attached to a network request, it is readable only by pages on voicesnap.pro, and it never leaves your device. Everything we write there exists so that a promotional message does not come back after you have closed it or joined the waitlist.
| Name | What it is for | How long it stays |
|---|---|---|
exitIntentDismissedAt | A timestamp written when you close the launch-offer dialog, so the dialog does not reappear on your next visit. | 30 days, then the site clears it automatically. |
floatingPromoDismissed | The value 1, written when you dismiss the small founding-offer pill in the corner of the free tools and comparison pages. | Until you clear site data for voicesnap.pro. |
exitIntentSuppressed | The value 1, written as soon as you click a waitlist button. Once you have signed up, the launch-offer dialog stops appearing entirely. | Until you clear site data for voicesnap.pro. |
If you never open the launch offer, never dismiss the pill and never send the waitlist form, none of these are written at all. Nothing here identifies you, and nothing here is sent to us or to anyone else.
Analytics, and what they actually see
We use Fathom Analytics to count page views. Fathom is cookieless by design: it does not store anything in your browser, does not assign you an identifier that follows you between websites, and does not build a profile of you. What we get back is aggregate — how many people opened a page, which page sent them there, roughly which country they were in. There is no way for us to go from a number on that dashboard back to a person, and none of it is sold or shared with advertisers.
- No cookie, no localStorage entry, no device fingerprint.
- No cross-site or cross-device identifier.
- Aggregate counts only — page views, referrers and country-level location.
- Analytics load in production only. A local development build has none.
The VoiceSnap Pro app does not use cookies
This policy covers the website. The desktop app is not a browser and has no cookies at all. Audio is captured only while you hold the dictation shortcut, recordings are not retained after the transcript comes back, your notes library lives on your own machine, and nothing you dictate is used to train AI models. The privacy policy covers all of that in detail.
Clearing what is stored
Clearing site data for voicesnap.pro in your browser settings removes all three values immediately. Browsing in a private window has the same effect — everything is discarded when you close it. Nothing breaks if you clear them. The only consequence is that a promotional message you previously dismissed may show up once more.
- Chrome and Edge: Settings, then Privacy and security, then Third-party cookies, then See all site data and permissions.
- Safari: Settings, then Privacy, then Manage Website Data.
- Firefox: Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Cookies and Site Data, then Manage Data.
Changes to this policy
If we ever add something that does set a cookie — a checkout provider at launch is the most likely candidate — this page is updated before it goes live, and the change is spelled out here rather than folded into a paragraph nobody reads. The date at the top of the page always reflects the last change.
