Pay $39 once. Dictate for as long as you own the machine.
VoiceSnap Pro is a one-time purchase. Two licences, macOS and Windows, every update included. There is no monthly plan, no per-seat billing and no renewal date — because there is nothing to renew.
$39one-time
US dollars, paid once. Not per month, not per year, not per minute of audio.
2 licences included
One for you, one for someone else — a partner, a parent, a colleague.
What the price covers
- Dictation into any app on macOS or Windows — hold one shortcut, speak, and the text lands in the field your cursor is already in

- Custom vocabulary for the names, jargon and acronyms you use every day
- 50+ languages, switchable in the middle of a sentence
- Voice commands for formatting while you are still talking
- A searchable notes library holding every dictation you have made
- Nothing you say is used to train AI models
- Two licences, usable on macOS and Windows in any combination
- Every update included, for the life of the licence
VoiceSnap Pro has not shipped yet
There is no download and no checkout on this site today. Join the list and you get the download link and the buy link on launch day.
One launch email. No newsletter, no sharing your address.
Joining the list locks your price. Whatever VoiceSnap Pro costs publicly on launch day, nobody on the waitlist pays more than $39.
There will be a free tier too
30 minutes of dictation a month at no cost and with no card. It is the same app, not a crippled preview — the one-time licence lifts the monthly limit.
Prices are in US dollars. Local VAT or sales tax may be added at checkout depending on where you live, and you will see the exact total before you confirm anything.
Licensing question before you commit? Ask us first — we would rather answer it than refund it.
What “one-time” actually means
Plenty of apps say one-time and mean one-time this year. Here is the whole policy, in four lines.
There is no renewal date
You are charged once, at purchase. There is no annual maintenance fee, no auto-renew toggle buried three screens into an account page, and no card left on file to quietly expire and lock you out.
There is no seat count
Each licence covers two activations, and that is the whole of the licensing model. You are not billed per user, per device or per minute of audio, and nobody has to approve a seat before you can start dictating.
Updates are included
New features, additional languages and the compatibility work that every macOS and Windows release forces on us arrive as ordinary app updates, at no extra cost. There is no Pro tier waiting to be unlocked later.
If you stop paying, nothing happens
There is nothing to stop. VoiceSnap Pro keeps working — same shortcut, same notes library, same custom vocabulary — next month, next year, and after we have long stopped emailing you.
The trade is simple. You pay more today than one month of a subscription costs, and nothing at all after that.
What a monthly plan costs by year three
Paid dictation tools are usually billed monthly, somewhere in the $8 to $15 range. The number worth comparing is not the first month — it is the third year.
| Time using it | Monthly plan at $8/mo | Monthly plan at $15/mo | VoiceSnap Pro, one-time | What you keep |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| After 1 year | $96 | $180 | $39 | $57–$141 |
| After 2 years | $192 | $360 | $39 | $153–$321 |
| After 3 years | $288 | $540 | $39 | $249–$501 |
The VoiceSnap Pro column never moves, because there is only ever one payment. Year four, year five and year ten are the same $39.
Illustration only. $8–$15 a month is the typical band for paid dictation subscriptions; nothing in this table is a quote of any particular product's current price. Check whatever you are comparing against directly — subscription prices change, and they rarely go down.
What is in the box — and what is not
Before launch, the honest version of this list is worth more than the flattering one. Here is what $39 buys on day one, and the things it does not.
Included in $39
All of it, from the one payment. There is no second tier.
The macOS app and the Windows app
Both builds come from the same licence. Put it on a Mac at work and a PC at home if that is how your week is split.
Two licences
One for you and one to give away. They do not expire, and you can activate the second one years after you activate the first.
Dictation into any app
Your email client, Slack, a code editor, a browser form, a search box. VoiceSnap Pro types into the field your cursor is already in, so there is no separate window and nothing to copy out.
Clean-up while you speak
Punctuation and paragraph breaks are added automatically, and filler words are removed before the text is inserted — so what lands is closer to what you meant than to what you said.
50+ languages
Including switching language mid-sentence without opening a settings panel to tell it you are about to.
Custom vocabulary
Teach it the client names, product codes and acronyms it would otherwise spell creatively. You add them once.
The notes library
Every dictation is saved and searchable, so the paragraph you dictated into a chat box three weeks ago is still findable after the chat box has forgotten it.
Every update
Included for the life of the licence. No annual maintenance fee, no upgrade invoice, no version that stops getting fixes because a plan lapsed.
Nothing used to train AI models
Your audio and your transcripts are not training data. That is a product rule rather than a privacy setting you have to find and switch on.
Not included at launch
These are real gaps. Better to find one here than after you have paid.
No mobile app
VoiceSnap Pro 1.0 is macOS and Windows only. There is no iOS or Android app and no way to dictate from a phone into a desktop field.
No team or admin console
No central seat management, no SSO, no single invoice covering forty people. Buying for a team at launch means buying individual licences and handing them out.
No offline model
Transcription needs an internet connection in 1.0. If most of your dictating happens on planes or in places with no signal, this is not the release for you.
No Linux build
macOS and Windows only. There is no Linux binary, and none is part of 1.0.
No bulk file transcription
VoiceSnap Pro transcribes you speaking, live, into the app in front of you. It is not a tool for uploading an hour of recorded audio or a video file and getting a transcript back.
Purchase questions
The things people actually email about. If yours is not here, write to support@voicesnap.pro and it probably will be next week.
Still deciding?
The comparison that matters is against what you use now — Apple Dictation, Windows Voice Typing, or a monthly plan you are already paying for. We wrote those up honestly, including the parts where the free option is fine.
